Inspiration
Shorooq is analogous to the story of the region — growing from compelling, inspiring ideas into a formidable global force.
Built on our founders' shared experiences and their recognition of the potential that arises when great ideas and founders are connected with innovative investment approaches, Shorooq was created to unlock the potential of new ideas and businesses in the MENA region.
Since our founding in 2017, we have grown our assets under management from $2 million to over $1 billion — developing and proving our investment playbook across global markets. What began as a venture firm in MENA is today a multi-strategy alternative investment firm, investing across venture capital, private equity, credit and real assets across markets.
We continue to be a change agent, provocateur, and innovator in the technology ecosystem in the MENA.
Through our multi-strategy asset management approach, Shorooq is the gateway to the MENA region for global investors.
